I want to add some aux lights on my tractor and want to feed them off the connector in the rear of the tractor thats to be used for trailer lights. Any ideas where I can find the proper male part of this plug? It's an 8 pole connector, kind of rectangle shaped. I'll post a better pic tomorrow, but here is one showing the location.

I dont know, but I ran 2 #12 wires (fused 15A at the battery--get a fused lead assembly from Advance or Autozone), ran the wires (with 2 grounds to 20A illuminated toggle switches mounted in the plastic console under the factory light switch, which provides enough slope to keep rain and ice out of switches. Works great and lots of voltage and amps. One switch handles the forward rollbar lights and the other handles the rear backhoe lights. Only drawback is that the kids or an animal can trip the switch when the tractor isnt running.

I just went through the same dilemma /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif - even the dealer couldn't find the right male plug. My 3510 had a couple of "hot" wires in the harness under the rear fenders. As far as I can tell it is the same 20A circuit for the rear hazard/brake lights. I haven't had any problems related to overload since I put them into use a couple of months ago. I'm running two 55 watt (trapezoid) lights and haven't "popped" a fuse yet. The switch (lighted) is in the same place as "fbj2c"s set-up. Pics available.

Did you try a specialty trailer shop? If it's a plug for a trailer, it's probably a standard trailer plug. I rewired my trailer a few months ago, and the local truck and trailer shop had about every type of electrical trailer connector you could imagine. I adapted the standard six pin connector on my Toyota to a standard four pin connector that comes on most trailers without brakes.

It's not really a trailer connector. It's meant to plug into the rear remote set's trailer connector, which I believe is a standard 6 conductor plug.

MicroPilot,
Howdy! I am about to add some more lights to my 3035 and was wondering if you had made any progress on identifying this connector? I haven't spent too much time looking yet. I am thinking that it may be less time to pick up a standard connector and replace the existing one.

No, I never did identify this connector. I suspect that you would need to go through a parts manual to figure it out. I ended up just plugging into the connector using a "spade" plug I cut down to fit the connector. I'll try and remember to post some pics.

I basically did the same thing that SassafrassPete descibed in this thread:

Micro,

I have a trailer connector with from the factory on mine. That looks like the connector that goes to the mutli pinned trailer plug.

That's exactly what it is.

I was hoping someone would know a part number or mfg of the matching male part of this plug so I could make my aux. light install a little tidier.

Ok I get it...

I was just going to buy a trailer plug from wallymart and wire my rops lights into it. I'm so lazy.

I guess if you were so moved, you could by the part thats installed on my tractor and hack it just to get the plug.

probably not....eh
