Hi I am new to this forum trying to figure what i have so i can get manuel the number on hub behind starter on right side from top to bottom are C4012

the hood says ford 3000 it has a alternator 3cly 4speed tran pto any help would be appreciated all replys welcome

You appear to have a Ford 3400 (C4012_), the utility version of the 3000, from maybe the early 1970's. Can't tell for sure as the model is lacking the last character and the build date (the 2nd set of characters) should read "number, letter, number, number" to reveal the year, month, and day. Do a little scrubbing to see if the data can be better revealed. I've seen sheet metal swapped on more than a few units.

I think you are wright the guy i bought it from built and sold tractors and he said something about a shuttle forwards and reverse he swaped mine to another iam having trouble reading the numbers but will try againg today and get bact to you if i understand you i need anoter letter in this set of letters(C4012?) the trouble that i am having with my tractor is if it sits for a week the 3 point has trouble coming up unless i let the tractor run for about 10 mins.then everything is fine I drained all fluid out of tran& rear end was cremie color rplaced with new fluid. thanks for the help if you have any suggestion will be very helpful bill

The last character in the model number is the transmission type. If yours has been swapped it will not be correct but will verify the swap.

You may have a very slow leak at the lift piston. This can be verified by hitching up your heaviest implement, raise it, set the selector lever in "Position Control" (pointing up) and leave the engine at idle. If the implement drops slowly a ways, lifts up, drops slowly, lifts again, its probably the piston seal.
