Looks like my Komatsu D21-P6 needs some undercarriage work.
Looking at the tracks ( wide swamp tracks that is) , it appears that the pins are worn clear through to the link pins, the drive sprockets need to be built up or replaced, and the rollers probably need to be replaced as well.
Other than that, at 4400 hours, the dozer is fine.
My question is: do I need to look at getting the tracks replaced or just repaired, and can I switch from the wide swamp trakcs to more traditional grouser tracks ( I need the added traction)
Any ballpark ideas as far as cost to havethis done would be appreciated as well.
