Piece of railroad tie works well. It probably weighs 50 lb a foot.

Reading this thread got me thinking. I have taken the loader off my tractor for hay season and thought I would probably need a little front weight. I went down to my dealer to see if he had the OEM weight bracket for my tractor. He didn't but he said he ad a bunch of weights.

He told me that at one time alot of tractors were shipped from the factory with front weights. A lot of people added loaders and didn't need the weights. Sooooooooo he had a pile of weights laying around. He basically had three different styles. 13kg , 25kg . and some that looked like 40kg (didn't pay too much attention to the real heavy ones)

I asked how much, he told me $25.00 each. So I piled four 25kg weights in the back of the truck. Once I get the bracket made up and see how much room I have I will probably go back for a couple more.

Thanks for getting my mind working guys!!
