I think the best way to thank all the members of this
forum is to show the result of a year of planning, daily
work and lots of seat time. My oldest daughter was married
at my place last Saturday, and my youngest was the maid
of honor. The house and property has been in the family
since 1920, and since Emily had a wonderful connection
to Mom and Dad, this was a special way to honor them.
These two girls are my greatest achievements, as fathers
of girls can understand. The following photos will show why
I need to thank all of you.

Rats, having trouble uploading more photos, files are too
big, and dang it all....I have to go to work. Will try later,
as I would like the chance to properly thank all of you
who have assisited me in getting and using my tractor....we
could not have had this event here without it. Pictures will
make up for my lack of verbal skills.

You have every reason to be proud. Those are two very lovely young ladies.

I just want to make sure that you're thanking the members for help with your tractor selection, advice on completing projects, things like that? Right? Right???? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Yep, we also have two; 33 and 36 years old now.

Congratulations to you and to the girls.

Congratulations! We are "plowing", "watering", and praying, ourselves. Seems everyone is resigned to kids being whatever they are, with parents not able to shape and mold. Don't know how that lie got started. But it's a lie. Congratulations again....a beautiful family that just got bigger!

Since others have found it O.K. to mess around with your post - Wifey was looking over my shoulder when I brought up the forum, saw the title of the thread, and thought maybe you had just had twins - I popped the picture up and said, "Nope, he married two women - he's from Utah". Had her for a split second. Now she says I never fooled her.

Duckboy,

You have much to be blessed and thankful for. Your daughter looks very beautiful in her wedding dress. Brings me back to my big day two years ago.

Paul,
Great looking family, you have a right to be proud. Looked at your bio, Vashon Island, WA. Never heard of Vason, where is it located?. Have spent much time in the SEA area which I do love.

Finally back from work......will try to add to this mornings
post. Re: question on where Vashon is, we live on an
island in Puget Sound, between Seattle and Tacoma, the
only way to get here is by ferry. This property has been
in the family since 1920, and Dad and his folks moved into
the house in 1922. There has been a Robinson here every day since then.
Changed a bit, but still a great place, and
I feel lucky to have been able to hold on to it after Mom &
Dad died. Anyway, Golfgar, yes I was thanking all for the tractor advice, ....
the girls I take credit for. And
Knucklehead, while I am not from Utah, I now have 2 wives
in law, a neighbor wife, a customer wife, a friend's wife....
and the best part is that they all go home.
I'll try to add a photo to explain some tractor time. This one
shows where we had the reception and dancing. A year ago
there was standing water here. All aroud the perimeter and wherever else you can see
was brush and berry vines
pretty much to the top of the trees. There were horses pasturing towards the front
of the photo. The road is about 200 feet beyound the fence and it too was not walkable.
The 8 ft fence is to keep the deer from eating everything. We have too many Bambi's around.
Will try another photo.

This is where the ceremony took place, the screen was
in the last photo. This too was covered in brush and vines,
with an old burn pile, 20 X 30 X 10-12 feet high. The
benches I made last winter and added to the feel of the
event. The two trees had some work done on them, and
they finally produced some fruit, which the deer loved.

This last one I had to attach, as you will see in the
photo......the implement of destruction.....the brush hog.
What a piece of equipment, and ranks with the 4 in 1
as the most used. This shot is about where the last was
taken, but in the other diection. There is about a 1/2 acre
of grapes behind the BH, which are not all yet reclaimed.

Behind the grapes is an enclosed area
(yes, to keep the deer out)
about 3/4 of an acre which I reclaimed from brush and
berries that were thicker than hair on my new dog's
back. That is where we grew 90 % of the wedding flowers
and there were lots of them. So all this is leading to
the point where I say thanks for the last 18 months
of learning, researching, and enjoying this forum, as I do
everyday with my morning coffee. I knew I wanted and
needed a tractor to fix this place up,
but I know I made the best decisions on size, and
implements, care and problem solving because of all
the wonderful and nice people here at TBN. A tip of my
dusty old tractor hat to all of you. If any of you are out
in this area, I would be grateful to put you in the house,
and show you my little slice of heaven.

You have reason to be proud. Here are my two at a recent visit to Chuck E Cheese, I'll have a while to wait for a wedding maybe it will give me time to save the money/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Crown... great pic. Brings back many memories. They do grow up fast, so enjoy every day. I think the best tonic for a bad day is to hear the pitter patter of little feet running to greet you as you get home.
And do start saving!

Congratulations, Duckboy. Beautiful girls and great looking place. Lots of hard work sure paid off (on both accounts).

Now for Crown... maybe it will give me time to save the money.

I have four munchkins. If you go to Chuck-E-Cheeses too often, you'll never save enough money /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.
