I am having a problem with my ROPS

I wonder if your fender isn't pushed in on that side. There are four bolts holding it on in that area, if you can't see a reason for it being closer than normal, I'd put some spacers between the fender and it's mount to space it out. Here is a pic of my left side folded from the top and the bottom.

Mech From your pics looks like you have the older type rops, the pics clearly shows the rops to be slightly off center which in my view would explain your current problem... This should be look at more closely by your dealer after all you did buy a tractor with foldable rops... This problem could be easily fix by shimming one side of the rops, I'm not suggesting for you to do that because of safety issues regarding rops (look up your manual) if I were you I would pressure the dealer to fix it ...cag

Cag is right, you really shouldn't have to touch it, it's supposed to fold without damaging the fender.

Redrocker thank you for the pictures. I just went and looked to make sure that the fender wasn't pushed in and it looks OK to me. If I were to shim out the fender it looks like it would create a gap between the fender and frame where debris could get stuck and chafe the paint away, etc. Also it would weaken the shift support that gets quite a bit of hard use as it is. It would definitely allow the ROPS to be lowered but I think create other problems.

You're right, the dealer assembles all that stuff, that may be his reluctance to fix it. It's got to be adjustable in there somewhere. I'd get all over him to make it right.

Thanks CAG and Redrocker and all that have contributed , I did not have much success with the dealer. They are located about 100 miles from where I live. I got the impression that they don’t see me as a repeat customer and just brushed me off. They told me that there was nothing they could do. They showed no interest in helping me at all. I very pleasantly said that I was going to contact Kioti and see if they had a fix. They said “good luck”. So now you can see where this was going so I loaded the tractor up and headed for home. Frankly, they don’t have the kind of facility to do a major repair job anyways. To do the repair correctly I would think that the ROPS and frame would have to be removed. The welds to the mounting plates that attach to the axel ground out correctly aligned and re-welded. Their operation is more geared to small garden tractors and lawnmowers. The reason I bought from them is that they had the CK30-HST in stock and they actually returned my phone calls! The other local dealers I contacted were less than enthusiastic in dealing with me because I did not want something off their lots. I actually had one dealer tell me that he would call me with a price on a CK30-HST when he got one in. He would not give me a quote even though I was there at his lot, not just calling on the phone. (He has never called!) All that being said, I like my tractor. But the few dealers in my area leave something to be desired. My hat is off to the good dealers I see posting on this forum and I am envious of those who are luck enough to live close by them. I needed that little catharsis, now I have to concentrate on the repairs.

Since the ROPS is frame mounted and the "body" of the tractor is mounted to the frame is there perhaps a way to shift the body to allow enough gap? If the gap is too big on one side and too small on the other maybe a little shove with the body mounts loosened may be in order. I've done it with jeeps. Worth a look anyway, but not worth causing a problem with the other side.

Thanks Highbeam, I went out and checked with a flashlight (because I can’t get it inside) and it looks as if the mounting bolts for the body are not adjustable. They are not slotted in any and are welded to the sheet metal. They then bolt directly into the rear gear housing. Nice suggestion though, Thanks.
