Hydrostat Sticking

Has anyone else experienced this?

My B7500 has started "sticking", when I lift my foot off the forward or reverse pedal, it does not return to neutral, the tractor just slows to a crawl in whichever direction it was last traveling? Is this a pedal issue or a hydrostatic drive issue?

The obvious questions. Tractor age, how many hours since the last HST oil change? Which oil was used? Are you using Kubota SuperUDT? Have you checked the peddle pivot point for dirt or obstruction? Is it well lubricated? I don't see a location. Is it now very cold in your local? Just some thought,

I have had this problem from time to time, and it seems to be worse during cold weather. There is a zerc at the pivot point on the hydrostat pedal that should be greased regularly. I always get my FEL and BH, but usually forget that one zerc. Give that a try and I'm sure it will go away. You have to work the pedal a bit after greasing before it really loosens up again.

The syptom I was addressing was a sticky hydro pedal. In other words, if you take your foot off it, it doesn't center in the neutral position. If you can't get it to reverse, that sounds more like on obstruction in the linkage. I have had that happen a couple of times with sticks getting stuck in the linkage. In your case, it might be ice or packed snow? Just guessing.

Greg I think your right. I went out a little today about 2 hours and no problems. My shed is heated so my problem melted away.

Now where exactly is this zerk? I've crawled under my B7500 and can't see one anywhere on the shafts, bars, linkage, etc., and I'd looked there before since it's a moving joints and seems logical to be one in there somewhere...I can't find it or a hole where one goes.
