Heard from the dealer this afternoon. Looks to be a factory assembly problem with the gears not meshing properly. Dealer does not believe I need to change the way I way I am operating the tractor and doesnt seem to be concerned about a repeat of the issue. Parts are on order.

That's good to hear. When skidding logs I try to pull going forward but it's not always possible. It's like the 3pt hitch, I try not to push with it but on occasion I have to.
Looks like I should have it back first part of next week.
Tractor is fixed and back home. Everything covered under warranty and told by dealer not to worry about operating as I have been in reverse. They seem confident it was a factory issue and shouldn't see a repeat problem.
