i need to no how to best add a orbital steering valve in my curent system
here is a ruff system layout Thanks for any help Godbless

In order to not lose any other functions while steering, you either need a flow divider or a dedicated pump to the steering.

The flow divider, depending on which one you get, will take X amount of flow that is always dedicated to the steering valve, leaving the rest of the flow to the rest of the system. This will make the other functions slightly slower.

The second pump, would make it a dedicated circuit just for the steering, pretty much just sharing the fluid or not if you go with a dedicated reservoir for it. Won't affect the other functions.

If none of this is an issue to you, you'll need an steering valve with PB capability. Line from pump goes to In in the steering valve. PB from steering valve feeds the rest of the circuit and Tank port goes to tank.

This is how I added power steering to my Kenbota. I use a small portion of the flow through an adjustable flow divider. The steering doesn't take much flow to operate. A little trial and error on the divider lever from the lowest point gives plenty of steering flow. The lever can be locked in place. The rest is routed to the FEL valve (or the rest of your system). The Kenbota drive system has its own pump and drive via an old Peerless 2510 with a Model 11 Eaton hydrostatic transmission. So, in my case I don't have to further divide the flow for a transmission. You'll want to make sure the divider you get (and your pump) can provide enough flow for the rest of your system.

The only drawback to a rotary steering valve is there's no center. The valve applies flow to the steering cylinder at the point it left off. Restarting the engine (pump) gives you a whole new "center" on the steering wheel. No big deal unless you have a steering wheel center graphic. ;)
