I got all these for 80 bucks. They are Bonnie and Armstrong. Looks like all the sizes I need plus some and I’m getting a couple 3060 wrenches I think I have everything else gonna try next week thanks.View attachment 2178926
The largest line wrench I got is one and 5/16 and the opening won’t go around the hose. The hose is half inch ID 100r2at

I normally use colored zip ties to mark hoses to location.
I have 12 colors and 2 sizes of each.

Tom - that's a good one - bucket of patience! Gotta remember that and you are so right on for this job,

But to the OP question - tips and tricks to change BH hoses in the boom:
- Lift the BH rear tires as high as possible with outriggers to make the boom and bucket as straight as possible so the bend at the bottom of the boom is open as much as possible. This makes it easier to get around that bend.
- If you are going to replace all the hoses then take pics and mark them all then pull in some good rope to put the new hoses back in.
- If selective replacement I found its easiest to pull the new hose in when you are pulling the old hose out using a coupler - but you need to have the new hose lenght correct - you may be able to get those lengths on line if you search.
My tractor runs, but none of the hydraulics are working while it’s leaking and it got stuck and blew the hose while using the backhoe to dig at stump roots. How do I straighten everything while it’s leaking? Should I fill it and waste or catch the fluid again and try to get it to move straight ?I know that would help.

2 questions... Are you going to repair it where it's setting..??

Is it the supply line from the pressure side to the controls that is leaking..??

If you are going to replace hoses where it is setting, and if it is the pressure supply line from the pump side that is leaking There may be no reason to add more oil for that reason. If you have room to pull it ahead, while slowly moving ahead reach back and move the control levers for the boom and stick like extending them, it should allow oil to flow through the controls back through the return line and allow it to relax to the position you want.

To get it raised up if planning on using the outriggers, to make it easier to access hoses in the control tower you'll have to get a jack to raise it up, then crib it up on some good solid blocking to hold it in place.

However, depending on how the front bucket is setting you may have to add enough oil to pick that up, or curl back to allow it to slide.

The one that is leaking is A to #9 the Bucket rod end I believe hard to tell for sure till I pull it out, but it is leaking right at the bottom of the lift after it comes up about 2 feet from where it’s connected inside the lift it pumps out pretty fast when I start the tractor

In that case, sure sounds like the O-rings are bad in that control block, unless the control lever is stuck. There shouldn't be any oil flow to that hose unless the control lever is moved.

Yes, the only lines that should have fluid flow with just the tractor running and no valves activated should be the supply and return. A leak with all the operating valves centered should not be an actuating line. Once all cylinders have been relaxed there should be no flow or pressure in the cylinder lines.

What if the bucket is still stuck in the stump?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, I just got into tractors a few years ago and I’m 70 having trouble learning new stuff. what if the bucket is still stuck in the stump that’s when it blew?
