2001 John Deere 4300
Hello all! As some might have read, I sold my Kubota BX24 and picked up a 2001 JD 4300. I finally have all the kinks worked out. Now doing some more maintenance things. I have a question...I had bought a bunch of Kubota Super UDT hydraulic fluid. I still have a bunch left over that I haven't been able to sell on Craigslist and the dealer won't take it back. I need to do a full drain and fill on the 4300....can I use this? Is this as good as the JD stuff? My 4300 is a HST.

A few before after pics too...

Nice tractor!
Can't help you with the UDT question. A problem made more difficult since one mf-er will not cross reference their "special" oil with another mf-er.
The risk / reward calculator indicates lowering your price $20 on craigslist and buying JD oil might be the way to go.

Personally I'd use it. SUDT is a very well regarded oil. I did some research when I wanted to put it in my New Holland, and couldn't find any good reasons not to. But again, that's just what I would do.

If I was close to you, I'd be happy to buy that Kubota oil. They don't exactly give that stuff away at the dealerships...

Go to a oildealer and ask them to crossrev it to see if it will be the wright thing to do ?
