A friend of mine recently bought a hydraulic fluid heater for his JD 110....which has a hydro tranny and he lives in the far north...certainly helpful. I have a GST tanny and was wondering about the same for my L39. Has anybody installed/bought/used a hydraulic fluid heater?

I have a factory engine block heater......just want the hydro fluid warmed prior to winter use. I am running SUDT which should help.

Heating the fluid will surely hep.

With standard transmissions and very cold weather there were times one had to keep the clutch in and allow the motor to warm or it would stall. Then one had to wait a while before the gear shift would move easily. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From prior experience, it takes a long time for the fluid to warm up on a days when it's 5 degrees, even when the engine is "warm" from a block heater. I don't want the tractor idleing away for half hour waiting to get warmed up. I just want to start it up and get a move on with five minutes or less.
