Hi! This is a "Deere" LVA 12456. Trying to find one. Deere wants nearly $800. Does anyone know it there is a way to fix these?

TIA

What is that valve supposed to do vs what it is doing? Deere calls is some form of pressure valve.

It goes into a "diverter" valve body. That uses an electric solenoid to change from front to rear hydraulics. There are 4 of them Apparently two for bucket tilt, and two for bucket lift. Then they reverse and go to feed the top and the tilt cylinders, Oldnslo

By your description they sound like pilot operated directional valve. Have you tried pushing on the end of them to see if the spool moves freely similar to what kenny posted?

They are apparently directional diverters. The spool, or plunger inside is stuck in the "in" position. I tried 150 PSI of air and even a small pick tool to move it. Seems frozen in place. Thanks sir!

Yes these are definitely diverter spools. If you work carefully, you can get them unstuck, sometimes you have to very carefully polish the spools too if they are corroded.

Pro tip for ANY electric/hydraulic valve, diverter, whatever...Operate it frequently! Even if you have nothing connected to it, power the valve when you use the machine to keep them from sticking. Fresh clean fluid helps too, moisture in the fluid can exacerbate this problem.

In looking at the picture I can not tell how that valve is assembled. Does the top unscrew or is there a wire retaining ring in the nose keeping the spool from falling out? Like Kenny states careful polishing or gentle picking will generally get them working again. If polishing try not to round the edges on the spool.

So it turns out that these can be disassembled. And the spring inside was toast. Corroded in half. Fixed. Not installed yet. We will report. HUGS all. Troy

Very good Troy. any pics you can post documenting the processes of repairing would be appreciated by many!
I have them on a phone that is not near. But I will try to post. HUGS - Troy

They were stuck. The spring had corroded, probably due to moisture in the HYD fluid.

Thanks for posting the pictures of those valves. Were the spools also corroded?

Hi, the spools were hard anodized and in good shape. They were in bad need of cleaning. I just buffed them with scotchbrite pad lightly.
