Hyd lines overheating

Hi Guys! I have a external hyd pump that mounts off the dist mount on my super m My fluid seems to get extremly hot how do I check to see if the hose routing is correct, The line from the pump goes to the inlet side of the control valve and the outlet goes back to the resivior tank

If your valve has some debris in it blocking the port then the fluid may be running in relief, this would cause heat buildup. Maybe buy one of those infrared thermometers to check exactly what the temp is.
