and it took some time to figure out how to attach it back. The quick disconnect lines under the step that feed the loader had one pop out while bushhogging in the woods (my dad was driving so it was probably more like tree hogging) and he came back to the shed to tell me of the problem. We look over the lines and can't see any leaks so didn't know what the deal was...finally jiggled the quick disconnects and one hose popped right out. Well, we know what it was at that point. Tried to stick the fitting back in and couldn't get it to "snap" in....WTF?

after about 10 mins of jiggling this and jamming that, I put 2 and 2 together and realized the pressure from the lines wouldn't let the fitting go all the way in...lowered the FEL, jiggled some more...and got it.

Sometimes if I've removed my loader and left it in the sun the trapped oil will heat up and make it difficult to reattach the quick disconnects. You can wrap the connector in a rag and press the little pin in the center of the connector against a hard surface. This will release the pressure and allow you to reconnect the line. The rag? That's so the fluid that squirts out doesn't hit you in the eye! Trust me on this.

Glad I'm not the only one then :)

I thought this was going to be the first trip to the shop since we bought it as we could not find a leak anywhere until we happened to just jiggle the connections.

if you have that problem again, wrap a rag around the male end and then hit the front tip or ball with a tool like apair of pliers or hammer to let it spit dome oil out.. etc.

spray clean the femal end with wd40 to flush it out and wipe the male fitting down too.

10-4, but I think the pressure came from the tractor side and not the FEL side, if that makes sense. A little bit of oil came out as we were jammin', but I think that was the FEL side. Maybe it was just a coincidence it went in after "relaxing the FEL" through the joystick, but I don't think so.

Either way, I know now (will remember, at least) about the pressure.

always relaxe the joystick by runiing thru all functions with machine off.. etc.
