HST or NOT HST

Can those of you that have a HST give me your thoughts on why it's good or bad. Never had one, although my neighbor has a small garden tractor that has a HST and for a lawn mower I see the pros, but on a tractor? Are there any negatives besides the cost when buying? This might be a stupid question for the gurus out there but I couldn't think of better place to ask it.

I did do a search for HST and while I got alot of hits I did not see any posts that looked like they discussed a comparison.

Ofcourse then I see I can search later than a week silly me and I found what I need thanks again
