Has anyone had a problem with the hydro fan on their GC (busted blades)? I have seen quite a few examples on the Kubota forum, but haven't seen much on here about it.

some here have broken blades off there fans as well.I haven't yet and doubt if I will as I have a solution.Any time I take mine into the rough I put my homemade skid plate and fan guard on.:thumbsup:Larry
I've replaced 2 in 6 years...if a stick is really determined it will find it's wat in there...the fans are pretty cheap and it only takes about 20 minutes to change. You can do everything from under the tractor...loosen the driveshaft yoke pinch bolt, slide toward front of tractor...remove 2 bolts on fan and discard...lather ,rinse, repeat. HST Fan Part No. 4264911M1 is available at Jack's Small Engines for $18.33 net. Jackssmallengines.com 1-877-737-2787.Has anyone had a problem with the hydro fan on their GC (busted blades)? Well, I am not sure if it is because I have a 2310 with the sub frame, but what a
@$@#$!#% pain that was to change the fan. I just could not get it on the shaft ( without fear of snapping a blade ) without pretty much taking off the
floor board. Then once i got it on, the engine to HST shaft fell off the u-joint off the engine. You cannot see it, nor reach it very well to feed the shaft back on, as the underside has the metal skid plate. But, after a lot of scrapes and swearing pretty loud, it is done. I am building a shield for this stupidly designed fan ! :confused2:
