HPX Winch option

Trimming down some options I'm considering for an HPX purchase. I was consider a winch. The JD option lists for $700 and uses the front or rear receiver hitch. I think it is rated at 2500lbs.

Is that steep for this type of winch? Could one put together a receiver type winch of equal pulling capacity for under $700?

I am currently looking at a Ramsey 2500 ATV winch for my HPX. I bought rear receiver and front winch/receiver combination set-up from Hunter Works (good people to deal with). The Ramsey winch is $300 dollars and the mount is $90 dollars. I can't move it "front to back" but that isn't an issue for me... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I agree with JDGREEN4ME.

Get the mount from www.hunterworks.com

For the winch, I'd choose Ramsey first, Warn second, nothing else third.
