I have been reading a lot of your posts and have learned a lot. Now I have a question that I could not find...

The neighbors property had a lot of pine tree's and now has cleared all but about six. My property has been cleared of all pine trees a few years ago. The problem I have our the pine tree roots are all over my yard and are starting to come to the surface tearing up my yard.

I tried chopping them out with a chainsaw (into the dirt), which I know is not good on the chainsaw!! :D

What is the best method to get rid of these roots and level my yard?

You want some kind of a ripper plow.

I had three large pine tree stumps. I tried digging them out with with my FEL with a toothbar, aided by a shovel and maddock. Time consuming, saying the least. Some people use a Stumpgrinder. What I did was call a buddy of mine with an excavator. He removed all three stumps and took them to my burnpile in less than 20 minutes. I then took my FEL and filled the holes with fill. Make sure to add a tad extra fill because the dirt will settle. BTW, welcome aboard. Best wishes. You can rent most equipment.
