I have a new to me MF 1433v. I would like to make my own grapple for the front. How would I go about making this work? I just have the standard FEL setup now.
Hi Tim, welcome to TBN.
Are you thinking of making a full grapple...one that you remove the bucket and put on the grapple? Or are you talking about adding a bucket grapple to your bucket? Either way, you will need to add hydraulics to run it. You'll need either a diverter valve or a 3rd function solenoid valve. Some guys run the grapple off the rear remotes if you have those.
So let us know exactly what kind of grapple you're thinking of making first.
Thanks guys, I have actually been a member for years but can't seem to login anymore.
Tatro...what is that?
I did search but I didn't know what terms to search for. I'll try the "3rd Function" that sounds good! I want to just add a grapple to my existing bucket loaded. I do not have rear hydraulics, so I didn't know if it was even possible to do with the tractor I have.
Here's a link to Tatro's bucket grapple website. Tatro Bucket Grapples
Mine is the red one in the lower left picture with 2 bucket grapples.
Here is a link to a thread on how to build your own bucket grapple. My Very Own Grapples
It has lots of photos and includes links where to get all the components for your project.
