How to estimate pig weight?

When Oscar was smaller, I would pick him up, stand on the scale, then put him down and subtract the difference. Then he got so big that I couldn't see the scale while holding him, and that our combined weight was so much that it broke the scale!!!!

That's funny. I do that with my Cocker Spaniel but he weighs ~ 25lbs. I can picture you and Oscar standing on the bathroom scales - @#$ SPROING &*#.

Isn't picking up your pig to weigh it an old weight lifting training technique?
The theory goes: If you could pick it up yesterday then why can't you pick it up today? It only probably weighs another pound or two, and what's the big deal to lift one more pound!
