How to build a bridge over a small creek

I used an old trailer house frame to bridge a pond spillway, bolted 2x4s on the frame to nail the planks to. Used 2" white oak planks (farm renter has a sawmill), coat it once/year with a sealant. One landscape timber along each side to keep from slipping off. It's about 20" long & 5' wide. ~~ grnspot110
