How much weight is too much?

/ How much weight is too much? #21
Weight is only part of the equation... the guy who installed my system said the only time he's had a problem was when there was a large rock sitting right on top of the tank. The weight of the equipment "punched" the rock through. When we were doing some ground work recently, he also stayed off with the dozer, suggesting that the vibration was pushing the envelope.

This guy has a lot credibility both because of his experience and the fact that we live in a small town. He wouldn't get too far giving out bad advice so he gets to do the repairs.

He also tells an interesting story of the well-driller who backed his rig in and drilled a well THROUGH a leach field. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Septic still worked fine. (Actually, the well was also okay... as long as the casing held and you didn't think about it.) /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
