How much slope ?

   / How much slope ? #11
The maximum travel of the 3 point is way less than the past balance point of the tractor. A 3 point implement would definitely help prevent a backflip. The chances of a modern compact tractor doing that are close to zero anyway. The front is too heavy and the wheels are too small.
A lot of variables going into that calculation. For example, if the rear ballast is heavy enough to make the front end light on level ground, one has to think of what it is going to do on a steep upslope. It will also make it easier to pop a wheelie under those conditions, right? And if the front wheels are headed skyward at increasing speed, maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want to count on the 3 pt. upper limits to save the day.
