I don't think I trust those overheat and low oil pressure lights and would like to go with mechanical gauges. Can someone give me an idea of the oil pressure these little diesels are pumping? How about typical temp? I have a 1500D if that changes anything. Thanks for the input guys.

I'm not that familiar with the 2-cylinder models as we sell the later model units, but for the 3-cylinders like a YM1802D or similar specs are 245 to 392 Kpa (36 to 57 psi) at 1800rpm with a warm engine. There is an adjustable pressure regulator inboard of the oil filter.
On the cooling system, the temperature sending unit will turn the red light on at 230F. On models with thermostats, 160F is the recommended opening temp, and on models with coolant overflow and water pumps, 13psi is the correct radiator cap pressure.

Very nicely done gauges inspector507. I'm guessing oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and ammeter? I'm probably just looking for oil pressure and water temp. Probably oil filled Stewart Warner gauges due to the vibration of the 2 cyl engine.

I need to replace the water temp gauge. "Someone" did not put the radiator cap back on tight not long ago.......it overheated before I knew and the temp gauge was pegged. Now the lowest the needle goes is 190. When the tractor warms up it shows about 260 and I know thats not correct. Guess it torqued the spring inside.
