I've realized that many things I do during a typical day require gas or diesel, sometimes large quantities, sometimes less.

And that's fine with me; it's enjoyable; I like to operate machines. However, with billions & billions of people also using gas & diesel daily, it's bound to run out at some point. Maybe after I'm gone, I dunno, but prob at some point.

Humans will probably move to other energy sources, slowly but surely, or maybe even quickly if someone invents something great, or something politically changes, so we may conquer that problem.

However, since our other natural resources are also limited, & the total # of humans increases every year, I wonder if the human race or earth or both have a limited life span. I mean, how many people can the earth host?

Not trying to be a downer, just kinda wondering if many of the arguments people engage in will turn out to have been a kind of a waste of time/ effort ... like laying on your death bed realizing, "Man, what the heck was I fretting over for all those years?"

(some random Fri afternoon thoughts :laughing:)

If the United Nations has their way (Agenda 21),, 80% of us will be gone by the year 2030 anyway! ~~ grnspot

All energy originated or originates from nuclear sources (sun or nuclear plants). So, I would say when the sun burns out, or we blow ourselves up, which ever comes first.

Hmmmmmmmmm. That's like checking the variety of 'best before' dates in the dairy section before the power goes out...which date is the best date? :laughing:

As long as I'm gone before the end of the human race, why worry about it. I'm more concerned about my 'to do list' for tomorrow, next week, next year rather then some distant (hopefully) date further along. :thumbsup:

Now, back to my list...:D

Think of the song " In the year 2525 if man is still alive." Great insight...

Hello all, here is what I think of it:

God cares for the earth:

Psalms 65:9 You visit the earth and water it,
You greatly enrich it;
The river of God is full of water;
You provide their grain,
For so You have prepared it.

Collossians 7:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

We also have the command: Be fruitful and multiply. This means that if the earth fills up with people, He will sustain it. We need not worry about the earth being overtaxed by people.

We do need to make sure we know the Savior and have salvation.

Folks, don't you know the world is gonna end tomorrow!!

Of course when tomorrow becomes today then it probably won't end til tomorrow. And when today doesn't come, then it is tomorrow, and the end.......I think

Is it really the earth we're concerned about, or the people? Doesn't it seem curious that this was all discussed 1000's of years ago, and there was a pretty clear answer? It's all gonna burn, and so will all the people who don't get saved. Man will never save the earth, and only Jesus will save some of the people ("sheep separated from goats").

Amen and well said, Lee. The good Lord will provide while we are here. His plan does not include an earth that can sustain mankind in comfort forever.

99% of all the species that have existed are now extinct. So long as we have all our eggs in one basket (Earth) it's only a matter of time until we join them.
