How is your winter so far.?

I'm a very mechanical person. Every piece of equipment has a personality to me. I enjoy using all three of my tractors. They each have their own quirks and personality. Overall I like my Ford the best. I see similarities in your IH. I looked for one before buying my Ford. Think I would have been happy with either color.

I found an Allis 5050 fwd that I was excited about until I saw it. Man that tractor was worn out....

Summer, or winter, something about that 584 IH,, It seems to grow on you,, I do not know why,,,

Either way,, I am stuck with it,,,

I've found a 685XL, but it must be gold-plated, they want heaps for it.. as in I could probably buy a new Kubota for just a bit more..
Or a 472 but it's only average looking.

More snow and rain for us this year and boy we sure did need it. I think over the long haul it evens out everywhere eventually. Climate and weather has always been and up and down thing where change is normal and I think it always will be. When it stops changing is when you should start to worry.

We had a length of twine to stop our old 'henry' Fordson. Nuffy had a lever though. Same Corsaro was the first 4wd tractor in our area. Dad and Unk paid $2577 in 1977 with a sliding drawbar and rear remote. Sold in 2013 for $5000 cash with an estimated 18000 hours.. tach stopped working when I was 8, I remember as I was mowing thistles and had no record of my time for pocket money. It showed 8488 for the next 25 years of use... all my machines have a pet name, hope I'm not the only one who asks them to start for me in the morning and says thanks after work.

They quit calling it global warming and settled on climate change since it looks like the warming trend had slowed or ceased. I liken them all to witch doctors, frauds and charlatans and their followers among the tin foil hat wearing crowd. The earth's climate has been in a constant state of change and turmoil since the first day it was a planet and it will continue to be until the last.

I hope so. It's the only real constant, change.. hopefully a swing towards more min-till/ no till agriculture will help us farmers stop being the bad guys!!

I appreciate everything my tractors do for me. I reward them with very good maintenance, clean fuel and a roof over their heads at night.
