Farmers are bashed the worst in a group of people sitting around a table full of food......
Absolutely. But then, the more I learn about things like liquid carbon pathways etc, as a group we could do a lot better if we didn't just keep doing what granpa used to do.. it oxidize all that carbon every few years etc. People think trees will save the planet, grass is more effective until you tip it under.

I appreciate everything my tractors do for me. I reward them with very good maintenance, clean fuel and a roof over their heads at night. :)
You'd be amazed how many around here omit at least one or more of those! Have a shed full of absolute junk while all the machinery that makes it all happen, sits out in the open. Maintaining it is left to the mechanic every 400hrs if that.. and fuel around here is only fresh if you aim for fresh fuel. I keep it always topped up.

My Brother, who is retired now, farmed like that. Never touched any equipment until it failed. Always had fuel problems including Algae. Blamed it on the poor quality of fuel today.....

I'm picky about fuel and also keep my tanks full.

I hope so. It's the only real constant, change.. hopefully a swing towards more min-till/ no till agriculture will help us farmers stop being the bad guys!!

I never thought of farmers as bad guys but I think it would be a good idea to take all the food away from anyone who does and see how long they could last on their own.

And that is why I won't comment about which brand of tractor is best. I can't think of any used tractors around here that have been looked after to my standards, so who could really comment on a brand? The best tractor is the one that's been loved and looked after by someone with mechanical aptitude and makes time for his gear. Doesn't matter if it's a Fendt or a Belarus, if you haven't looked after her, she won't look after you!

They just might have to walk through a wall of lead to do it to. My guess is the same folks can't shoot fershit and would even have a hard time figuring out which end to point.

I've always said I'm not worried about feeding myself and/or my family if things go bad. My problem will be all the thieves coming from town.

Couple of 12ga shells and you'd eat for another week or two.
