Loader How do you check the hydro fluid

Question??? I check the oil and hydro before every use but I found that when the 3 pt is dumped, the dipstick on the hydro shows too much but when I raised the 3pt it shows dead on. I've been checking the hydro with the 3pt raised and cold. Any thoughts?? Thanks

Raised and cold is how I always check it. It makes sense to check the level with the hitch raised, since it's assumed that it'll be up when you're servicing the machine and since up is the storage position.
