How do I polish plastic?

I just bought a 755 & would like to give it a good cleaning & wax job. how do you polish the plastic on the tractor? I'm afraid the wax will leave swirl marks in the plastic. Any advise would be apreciated.

I just wash and wax mine like I do the truck or car. The Blue Coral wash/wax combination wash does a good job too. Next item to purchase is the pressure washer, but the family treasurer has not approved the funding yet. ;o)

Go to a Arctic Cat dealer and they have some stuff that they
put on the ATV fenders and the hoods of sleds. Its real nice and easy and its leaves a nice shine and the mud comes off real easy. I use it on my sleds and Atv's

Believe it or not furniture polish works great.I use it on my gator. Above all, be sure there is no dirt on the plastic,no matter what you use. you can't belive how bad it will scratch!

Good idea. I'll have to pick up a bottle when my new tractor arrives. My dealer also sells Artic Cats.

The manufacturer of my ATV, Polaris, recomends an open flame from a propane torch to remove hazing and minor scratches. The fenders are polyethelene and it does work but you must be careful.

My JD dealer says to use Lemon Pledge after everything is really clean.

If you use an electric polisher, make sure to use a fairly low speed ie. no more than 1700 or so RPM. I buff metal with a motor and buffing compound on cloth wheels that turn 3600 rpm. Plastic calls for a slower speed and there is a special plastic compound available from the same distributors of the metal compounds. Any good auto supply should be able to help.
