I've always said you can tell how good someone is at their job by how easy they make it look.
No telling how much training and experience the locksmith has.

I worked in the detail shop of the local Ford dealer while in college and one of the salesman (maybe one of the mechanics) said this new Lincoln Town car could not be broken into with a slim jim.

Well we also had this ghetto rocker that worked back there, and I mean 100% ghetto gangster. I got along with him well, in fact we often bought each other lunch when we were low on cash, said 'man day ain't a kah in kahbunday (the town of Carbondale) I caint get into.' And within seconds he was in that car asking the (salesman or mechanic) if he wanted the radio taken out too!

maybee the locksmith had the guy tell him his vin code, and thus looked up the oem key specs and had or made a cut key for the application ??

i know what a slim jim looks like..an didn't see one, an there wasn't a key involved: he did have something in his hand, if it takes a short slim jim, that may have been what he had, but it didn't appear to be anything as long as the slim jims i have seen..

I once locked my keys in my company van at a customers location in CA. He had one of the slim-jim kits you could buy at the swap meets before they made the sale of such things illegal. This kit had an array of tools and a booklet to tell you which one to use and how to use it. I was back in my van about 30 seconds after walking up to it with the correct tool... and I had never done it before in my life. It was a real eye opener.
