When your CPA screws up?

It's been several days and no reply from CPA... I went to the office Thursday.

If the office is ever closed the message always states return date and the office also has a note and May is typical but just normal business hours recording.

I've never switched firms so I don't know what is involved...

Are my old tax returns enough or would the old firm need to cooperate with the new?

Your old returns are copies of what IRS has, so no problem there.

If you gave the CPA your only copy of the data supporting this recent fiasco, then you might have to obtain a duplicate of those. But you already sent the essential evidence to IRS, no? So your CPA is irrelevant.

Yep... sent all several times via email, fax and certified mail.

Current CPA needs to fix this mess as already paid 2022 tax prep fee.

See what happens Monday.
