Quick Hitches HOOKING UP THE DISK

I want to share what works very well for hooking up equipment with a heavy tung. Here I'm attaching a 14' disk.

I use a Speeco hitch and welded hooks on both side. To hook up a drawbar implement I lower the hitch and sling a chain from one side, under the implement,and on the other side. Then I lift the 3pt and back in. I can move front and back, left and right until the implement is just right.

I never lift with my back. It is not worth it.

I also use the hooks to chain the tractor for transport.

The Speeco hitch is one of the best things I have added. Get one, or a JD iMatch.

Our 12' and our 15' disc has a jack on the tongue. I thought most equipment in that size range had a jack.

Still that's a nice idea, I like it.

Happily my disc are not that big and are 3pt . I agree about the QH, mine came from Harbor Freight, would not want to be without it. Good back saving idea.

Wish my 12' transport disc had a jack. Using the lift and chain is a good idea.

You could always add a jack to the tongue somewhere.

I do similar, but with a single chain from the top hook. Gives good wiggle room to move about.
Smart to avoid using the back when possible.
