why would a balloon use propane?. I'd figure it would use ether Helium or Hydrogen, the latter for maximum lift, but is explosive..

ok, maybe it came from a hot air balloon and propane was used to heat the air.. I didn't remember about hot air balloons..

Sure is a sweet machine to be home built. Would be interesting to have a tally of the hrs invested. Quite similar to the 1946 Graham Paige I had some years ago. Used it for tilling gardens in the city. The advertising material I aquired showed many attatchments for all manner of small farm operations.

I hope he keeps a list of what the parts came from, in case he needs to repair it sometime!..
