Allthough I dont see the need for the peice on top of the pin. Unless your tractor has downforce on the 3PH. All the top of the hook does is keep the arms from falling off when lowered in float mode.

And I made mine weld on because I figured if I didnt, I'd loose them:confused2:

I just thought there might be some wear over time on the pin so I put the bars in to it would wear instead.

Possibly??? I dont know. Mine were just put on so I'll have to watch them and see. I see your logic. Not to hard to add to mine later if deemed necessary.:thumbsup:

I have the Carters, and in 125 hours no wear yet on the pin, I am not sure,but it may be a hardned pin, like a piece of drill rod or something.

I made some slight modification to your plan and came up with this. I didn't want to weld it to my lift arm on my GC2400 Massey so I used 2" by 3" by 1/4" tubing so they are removable. You can find more pics of it here.

Shouldnt even need to be a hardened pin. All it does is keep the arms from dropping off when in float mode.

My pins are pretty hard none-the-less. They are a 1/2" alloy bolt:thumbsup:
