Thought I'd make me some quick hitch hooks like the carter EZ-hitch ones:thumbsup: Seems every one likes them that has them. And my implements have just gotten too heave for me to want to wrestle around. A 700lb blade and an 1050lb bushhog arent fun to hook up.

Here is Where I am currently. Had a peice of 1" x 4" x 12" steel. I have got the slots milled currently.:thumbsup:

Got the holes drilled, and rough cut. Just need to do the beveling

Nice workmanship. I am not familar with that type of quick hitch. How do they fasten to the lift arms.

It will probabally be a couple of weeks before I get them mounted. And then who knows how I may have to modify the blade since it is a cat II with pins turned in.

I am working on the washers now and will post some pics when I get them done.

They get welded on-top of the lift arm, just above the lower-link.

They get welded on-top of the lift arm, just above the lower-link.

I didn't understand how they would fasten to the lift arms either... But I do now!

I dig the washers. I just bought a Pat's Easy Change and it came with 3 sets of their washers, but I like yours better. Guess it's off to the shop to go make some. :thumbsup:

Yea, I thought I'd put my own twist on them. Instead of just the bent washer, or smaller washer welded to big one, I thought this would help keep the wasker from flopping around as much and doesnt look as tacky.

Well...I got around to installing them today.

The welder was at dads and I didt want to cart the tractor over there so that is why I said it would be a few weeks earlier. BUT, I just took the lower arms off and ran over there.

They work pretty good:thumbsup:

Nice work, and they look good too! That should help things hook up a lot easier.

Thanks for the complement, but I must confess, it is not my design. It is made by carter and sons tool and die. I just copied the idea the best I could.

Original vendor is Carter's J-HOOK EZ hook if you can't /don't want to make your own set...

I made some slight modification to your plan and came up with this. I didn't want to weld it to my lift arm on my GC2400 Massey so I used 2" by 3" by 1/4" tubing so they are removable. You can find more pics of it here.
