Hi all,
I've been lurking for some time, but finally got around to signing up.
I'm located in Southeast Queensland, Australia, and in my time, have owned three tractors - a TE20 in the 70's, then a gap until around 2000 when a Fordson Super Major came along, then from 2004 till now, an LG Neo47.
How did the LG come about? Well, my wife's legs were too short to effectively reach the pedals on the Fordson (a dangerous situation). so we saw the LG at a farm show, labelled as a Valtra. I believe Valtra at the time were looking for a small tractor for the lower end of their range, and they selected LG as the supplier (later renamed as LS). Anyway, the LG was a good fit for us both (I'm over 6'), it had a cabin (essential for our spraying operations), and the price was good, as LG were just launching in Australia and New Zealand.
It's been a great machine for all we ask of it, except perhaps for being a bit underpowered mowing thick Kikiyu pastures with the 6' slasher, especially on up-slopes. So maybe a more powerful tractor could be the go, especially if it looks like we'll get some good early summer rain - the kikiyu LOVES those conditions!
So that's me, and now off to the LS sub-forum with a question.
