...on the backside of my 5 acre lot. It was buried in the weeds and hills. It made a great table to have a beer on, it weighs about 900 lbs.

Nice!folks pay big money for old mill stones nowadays.

I've seen them go for $2,000 or more depending on size and condition.

Or you could make a bracket and turn it into a vintage ballast stone.

Nice discovery. I agree with the other members in regards to the value and the fact that they are collectibles.

Curious, are you close to running water (stream, river)?

When I see things like that I always "wonder" of the history. What series of events led that stone to be abandoned where you found it...an old homestead site??

I wonder - Is there a difference between mill stones powered by water or animals? Hmmm

Nice find!! And the others are right, people do collect these, and some are worth a pretty penny!

I would not sell it! Homestead history. Just add an umbrella in the center hole.

On American Pickers, one that size, would go for 2500 3000... I would say you found some money. Of course it does have a couple of chunks broken out of it.. that will probably hurt some.. but still I say it is worth some bucks

How awesome is that!! I'd have to be pretty hard up for cash to part with it, but then I'm a history junkie and would be going nuts, researching its origins and doing more treasure digging at the site.

Millstone? It may be much older. Looks more like a rear wheel from the Flintstone's tractor.
