Hello everyone,

I am looking for new switches that will pop into the factory switch slots on my Kioti RX6620. I would love to have the identical form factor switch, but would settle for just having the same slot dimensions, so I don't have to fabricate some mounting solution. I have searched the internet for the OEM switches and can only find kits like for strobe lights, or replacement switches for various controls (with the requisite icons printed on them).

I am hesitant to buy those from my dealer because each switch appears to be in the $70 range retail. That's fairly steep for a switch, and I need four of them.

I purchased some Blue Sea System switches (which are very nice quality BTW), but they are loose in the slots. The approximate measurements are:

Kioti= 1.900" x 0.855"
Blue Sea= 1.585" x .8130"

Has anyone found an straightforward replacement to these switches? I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for any help.

David

I needed a replacement switch for a Harbor Freight welder. They didn't sell them. After taking the dimensions I found some very close ones on eBay.

DDBackhoe,

Your question made me realize that I should have just measured the slot dimensions, and not the springy plastic clip dimensions!! Also the green X is just an aesthetic feature on the plastic plug/ slot filler plate. This photo shows the open slots. The small ones I want switches for measure 1.75" x .875"

DDBackhoe,

Your Carling Technologies link was very helpful. I ended up ordering some switches at $8.25 each.
(Mfr. Part #: L11D1S001-AZZ00-000, RS Stock #: 70131611)

The Daedong/ Kioti switches would be great, but you'll likely also need a wiring harness pigtail to complete the connection, as the OEM switches don't have traditional blade terminals. This just adds more cost to the installation.

Thanks for the information. I'll post back later as the installation comes together.

I added 2 switches for my strobe lighting years ago, and they were unmarked but fit perfectly. I went to look up the site for you, but its no longer inline. Mine simply light up. But i found them by searching marine grade rocker switches.

Glad it helped. For wiring, Ive become a big fan of solder seal connectors.

Thank you all for the information to help me find suitable switches for my Kioti instrument panel.
I ordered an EATON (P/N 8004K25N1V2) switch and a Carling Technologies (P/N L11D1S001-AZZ00-000) switch for comparison. Both switches snapped into the panel perfectly.
You can see that they are both aesthetically different from the factory switch, but otherwise, they function perfectly. I mistakenly ordered screw terminals on the Eaton instead of blade/ spade terminals. Pay attention to that if it's important to you.

Anyway, just making the information available for the next guy.

Take care,

David

Does either one light up. I could care less that they look exactly the same

The switches I ordered do not light up. However, both of these manufacturers do offer various models with illumination features.
Check out the Carling Technologies links above. They provide the most documentation and options, in my opinion.

Carling Hr series has perimeter lighting, Vseries contura has lighting and laser etching
