The female fitting looks to be the swivel fitting on the end of the hose. When you look at parts, they just show (starting at the cylinder) an o-ring, elbow and hose. When you look at the tractor it does look different.Did they use an adapter at the cylinder? Me? I would lower the bucket, move the lever around to release pressure put in to float and pop it apart and have a look.

This.

Take it apart and see how it works. You can always put it back together. If you learn that the fitting on the hose is the culprit, take to hose off, take it into your tractor dealer or someone who makes hoses in your area, and get the hose replaced. If it's simply the fitting, go get another fitting.
Dont be afarid to take things apart to see how they work. Thats how we learn.

Ok the first pic on the left and the middle pic shows the hose where it threads onto the 90...its leaking right around the threads of the female fitting, again it looks like this fitting is threaded onto the hose, not the nut behind the fitting...
So is the 90 bad or the fitting ?
And does this fitting unthread off the hose ??

Total WAG (not even a SWAG) but it looks to me, I can't tell if it's an NPT or not...... I don't think it is. There might be a nylon 'washer' the male fitting seats against inside the female fitting.

Could very well be a ten cent part put together by a five cent brain.

It happens.

Doesn't look too tough or expensive to fix unless you make it worse. Not being a butthead, just saying because I know from first-hand experience.

YouTube is an amazing resource

I would say looking at your pictures that you have an JIC male to SAE o-ring male fitting on your loader cylinder;
sae male to jic male.jpg
the hose is a JIC female the fixed nut on the fitting is to hold your backup wrench on while tightening the swivel part.

Usually those are used so the 90 can be clocked wherever it is needed, then you hold it still and tighten the nut which seals the packing to the smooth area between the inner and outer threads and the bung on the cylinder.
Make sure the packing is in that non threaded area just like the picture shows. That packing won’t seal again the threads of the fitting.

I install a lot of these type mil-spec 90s. Usually I see a recess cut into the bung where the packing sits with a Teflon washer between the nut and packing. When tightened correctly, the packing and Teflon are not visible and that prevents the packing from being blown out.

That's what I have,,,it wasn't leaking at the O ring nut end rather where the hose connected to the 90... it doesn't seem to be leaking now as I thightened it but if it does again do I need to replace the hose or the 90 ??

If it starts to leak again, you could disconnect as others have stated. If threads are goobered up replace both the fitting and the hose. Fittings and hoses are pretty cheap considering many other parts.Just remember those hoses are under extreme pressures and you want to protect yourself at all times. If it starts to leak again, make sure to shut down the motor and rotate the joystick to try and release all pressure from the system. Even then I would wear a face shield to protect me when looking into the problem up close.

If you look at the fitting, you have a rounded nose/male end that seats into a matching female end. Metal on metal seal.

Don't over-tighten it or you might booger it up. Then it won't seal.

If push comes to shove, you can sometimes put a very fine emery cloth on the male end and gently clean it up. You are not machining it, you're cleaning it. If it's burred or grooved, just replace it and get it over with.

Sometimes, because of the tension on the hose wanting to 'unwind' the fitting, you might have to put a little more torque on it, just be careful.

None of the manufactures recommend any sealants be used on those fittings;
that said when I work with them I do use a small amount of never seize on the male treads
of the fitting especially on the hose connection, if I have one that is seeping on the hose connection,
I will lube it and make and break it 3-4 times, quite often that will cure it.
