I have a Kumaia ST 2040, which is identical to a Mitsubishi D2050FD. I have a feeling that I may have blown my hydraulic pump. Here are the symptoms that occur to the FEL hydraulics and the 3 point lift.

At 2000 RPM, none of the hydraulics work.
At 2500 RPM, the hydraulics are very slow to respond but appear to have their full strength. I pushed the FEL all the way down and it eventually lifted the front of the tractor.

I know that the quick connects have popped apart twice while I have owned the tractor, so I am guessing I deadheaded the pump and blew it up.

Is there a sheer pin in these pumps?
Can I rebuild one myself?
How can I be certain that the problem is really a bad pump?
If a part of the pump was ruined by deadheading the system, what part needs to be replaced?

I fould a replacement pump for $360, but I would much rather repair the problem than throw a whole new pump at it.

Thank you for your help,
Marcus

DO you have any access to a FLow meter? Sounds like you have pressure but no flow. That certainly indicates a pump issue. $360 for the pump really didn't sound bad to me... I would have guessed much worse, but I have no knowledge about those units either. Does the tractor pump have a relief? That should help the deadhead issue...
