Last fall I purchased a JD 450 CA for $7K. It needs some work but the engine and hydraulics work well. The undercarriage is my biggest concern. I am expecting to spend at least another $7K on repairs and maintenance. In the next few years I plan to buy some land in the mountains and use the machine to help build a cabin. The convenience of having a versatile machine will justify the expense, hopefully. I have a bit of time to get the tractor ready for work and see it as a fun project. Thank you all in advance for any help with my future questions.

Hmm? Well, above is the 4 in 1, 1.25 yard bucket I purchased as a replacement. The existing bucket has a good bend in the clam shell and the replacement is much straighter. I had it media blasted and I repainted it.450ca.jpg

Thank you folks! Here is one more seemingly useless pic. My tractor was missing floor panels when I bought it. I found a pair used on e bay but they were almost $300. I know of one other JD 450CA and the owner let me make a template. $40in diamond plate and some rattle can with a little bit of plasma cutting and wire wheeling and BOOM! Daddy just saved him a few Franklins!
