Hello, Glad to be a part of your forum, I have noticed many experts on the site that will be interesting sharing information with. I am a retired Tool & Die Engineer from Harley- Davidson Motor Company. Upon retiring I assisted my sons in creating a business for them that builds boat trailer frames and hardware for two large boat manufacturers. After I designed and built the large tubing benders for forming the frame rails and crossmembers for thr trailers, we were offered a cash sum for the equipment to allow the manufacturer to build the entire frames in house. The offer was very acceptable and we chose to sale. Where as a majority of my co workers stayed withinh the motorcycle industry and pursued hobies or business spin offs motorcycle related, I chose a different path. I love working on my garden tractors!! and am looking forward to learning new ideas and sharing some of my own with fellow members, Jack

Welcome aboard! As you are a retired Tool & Die Engineer from Harley-Davidson Motor Company, I'm guessing that you were involved with the tube bending for the V-Rod. Watching the documentary on designing and building the V-Rod sounds like quite a tube bending challenge! I was involved with bending square and rectangular tubing over the years in the ag manufacturing industry and it can be quite a challenge.
