Hayride wagon build, need ideas

My Uncle and I are looking to build a hayride wagon from a set of 3 axle running gear we have. We are looking at putting 16 foot 2x8s for the flatbed. We plan on building bench sits all the way around. We are looking for ideas on attaching safety rails/backrests securely. We also are trying to locate a set of folding stairs that could be attached to the rear end and fold up during transit. Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
