I have been looking for a way to haul two bales of hay at a time on the 3pt. A dealer had a double spear set up but it was like $650, yeah right. I remembered this old Hesston Hay stack mover that my Grandpaw used back in the day.

It works pretty good after I readjusted the tine spacing.

Anyway here are a few pictures. What do ya think about this?

1)Before changing the spacing.

2)After widening the outside pair.

3)Big tool bar

4)The way the top link is set up the tines can float along the ground while backing up. This makes it easier to keep them from digging in.

I don't actually intend to, just thought we'd see if the tractor would even lift it. I'm going to cut the spears down soon.

thats pretty fantastic. I was happy to just get a single spear, a quad would be fantastic! Now you just need a hydraulic adjustable width double spears for the front and you will be a one man hay moving operation!

That's probably a good idea lol. Pretty sweet the tractor will lift it tho. I would've had to try it too.

You can build a double spear 3 pt way less than $600 ..

Heck buying spears would only be the highest part .

I compute 6000+ lbs of hay and spears....just add air to rear tires and let 'er rip!!!!

The last picture could be used as an evocative CALENDAR photo.
