Has anyone adjusted the Loader Relief valves, or the system PSI ???

I'm with you, Underdog, I'd just like to make sure my R3039H is up to specified pressure. It seems to me that in an older thread, someone posted the 3039 spec, but I can't seem to find it.

Hi rwork, your system pressure should be listed in your owners manual (in the spec charts under hydraulic lift, in the back of the book) My 4041H system pressure is listed @ 2422 psi.

You are absolutely correct. Don't know how I missed that. Mine is listed at 2422, as well. Now I just need to get up the parts to make a test gauge.
Thanks, underdog

I know this thread is a few months old but just came across it. I adjusted the relief valve on my previous tractor (Mahindra 2615HST). I was unsatisfied that it did not lift what it was specked to do. I had the factory service and parts manuals and went through them one day to see what was involved. The books showed shims in the relief valve. When I checked mine there were none in place. I pressure checked the system and found it to be way lower than the book called for. I bought the shims and installed them. Pressure checked with gauge and it was close to spec after shims installed. It increased the lift capacity by a few hundred pounds. Also did a friends John Deere 790. His tractor also used a shim kit to set pressures. Not all tractors use shims. Some are adjustable. You'll probably need a parts / service manual to see your particular relief valve system and the procedure to check or adjust it.

I checked the pressure on mine and I believe it is right where it should be, although I haven't really put the loader under enough stress to see how much it will lift. I am building a 1500# ballast box now so I'll know pretty soon what it will do.

I got myself a pressure gauge, mainly out of curiosity, and checked my hydraulic system pressure. I am only showing about 2250 psi @ pto throttle.
According to the manual, I should be at 2422 psi. I haven't adjusted the pressure as of yet, but I'll likely bump it up to about 2400 psi.

Rwork, yours should have the adjustable reliefs. Simple to adjust, they have a jam nut and the adjusting screw is Allen. My loader valve was a little low. The primary was right on. Lifts better now.

I do, I just haven't taken the time to do it yet. Likely will this weekend.

I followed Tractshack Timmons method of testing. I put my test gauge in one of my rear remotes, and ran it up to pto speed, then opened the remote lever.
What did you mean by your "primary was right on"?
Am I checking this properly?

Be sure to keep us posted.... maybe I need to do mine!
