Half Shaft End Play

Massey. I have recently had the half shafts on my massey 135 refurbished, bearings seal etc, however when refitting i have over 5mm of movement with both half shafts meeting in the middle, any idea why so much play. Thanks

Did you reinstall the shims ?

Thanks for your response, fitted 4 x 0.5mm shims to each side but movement remais so large. Dealer who fitted bearings seals etc has never come across the problem, very odd. Peris
