If that's a 55 gallon barrel I think you are closer to 900 lb. I have a 55 gallon barrel filled about 3/4 full and with all the steel framework in mine it weighs about 850 lb. (10 - 80 lb bags of redimix plus steel)
If it's a 33 gallon you might be right.

Not sure how big the barrel is, wife found 2 of em for me. 9 bags of 80lb quickcrete, a draw bar and some rebar.

This was the approach I was thinking of. I thought 600 lbs should be sufficient for my smaller tractor. Tho I was gonna go with 2-3 bags of cement with lots of rocks, which are free. And the tool holders. I hate to waste the $$ for the draw-bar just to embed it in cement.

I used a 1" diameter solid bar from an old weight lifting bar. (I got the weight lifting barbell set about 50 years ago, weights have long since disappeared but still had the bar) The rest of the steel in mine was scrap I had laying around. (Rectangle tubing thru the barrel and up thru the top, 3/8" flat, etc)

I was going to buy the bolt on Pins from Tractor Supply and weld them onto a piece of angle iron I have (old bed frame found on side of the road), then run two more pieces up for the top link. Then maybe put some welded wire in to help keep it all together over the years.

I guess I'll have to do the same for pins and bolt them to bed frame. Also gonna try to add a 2" receiver to he back.
