Don’t give up on that 345 it is an excellent machine and you got a good price- ask dealer about fuel pump recall- does that unit have it? The plastic cam problem does not usually rear its ugly head till 800 to 1000 hours, if you are handy a nice winter project

What about the fuel pump? hadn't heard anything on that.

Well if it's the engine I'm thinking of, they put a mechanical fuel pump right above the hot exhaust pipe. Over time the pump diaphragm will wear and spring a leak. If it is the original fuel pump, the vent hole is in the bottom of the pump and the fuel will leak out there.

I think you get the picture.

The replacement pumps have a hose that it routed down and away from the exhaust pipe.

So I picked it back up yesterday, they tell me the small center gasket on my gas cap fell in the tank and blocked the exit for the gas line blocking it. Seems too easy but I've not had a chance to use it yet so I guess we'll see!
