GT 3200

If I was going to spend as much as a CC 3200, I'd look very seriously at a Simplicity Prestige and Legacy also..

Good idea. I always forget about Simplicity because of their rarity. If you cut low enough to have scalping and deck leveling issues, it's almost a non-issue for Higher end Simpliciys. Their decks have full width rear rollers and the deck is designed to roll on the ground. As far as every other deck is concerned, if you are scalping, the deck is set too low our your gauge wheels are not adjusted properly.

I never have to worry about scalping with my MF (Prestige clone)--just crank the roller to the height I want to cut and drop the deck. It just follows the contours of the ground. It should alleviate the problem of a heavy power-flo collection system hanging off the discharge side of the deck.

Simplicitys are as good as any mower on the market; they're just not as well known and don't come to mind as quickly because they don't spend nearly as much as JD and CC on advertising.

My Cub 2554 will about stall when the PTO is engaged...........when it's cold. A little warm up cures that and it NEVER does that when it's warm. Cuts G R E A T!
Cub advises to engage the PTO at half-throttle.
